2015 CWPPO Event at Sharp’s Farm

The first major CWPPO relic recovery project occurred in October 2015 in Carroll County, Ohio. Over 100 detectorists from across the country (and even outside the U.S.) traveled to the location to locate relics marking General John Hunt Morgan’s skirmish with Union troops on the Sharp’s farm. Many Civil War relics were unearthed and given to the historical society, giving them hard evidence of the events that occurred in the county in July of 1863.
